The Highlight was, that Michael Kleiner, Permanent Secretary of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism, acknowledged the work of PA 8 Priority Coordinators, Working Group Coordinators and Steering Group Members at the EUSDR PA 8 Steering Group meeting, which took place at 15 Nov. 2022 at Landesmesse Stuttgart, in the frame of the Global Connect Event – Forum for Export and Internationalisation.
Mr. Kleiner complimented the Working Group Coordinators by saying that especially through their work, in-depth content-related work in PA 8 becomes possible. “The working groups and their members are important “multipliers”, he said, pointing out that “in this way, a large number of stakeholders can be reached throughout the Danube Region”. “As a positive example, I would like to mention the work of the 15 Danube Transfer Centres, for which the development started 10 years ago as a Priority Area 8 flagship project and I am glad about very good connection and exchange of information and knowledge between Steering group, Working Groups and the Danube Transfer Centers”, Mr. Kleiner concluded.
Important topics of the meeting were Cross PA work with Priority Coordinator of PA 9, Nadija Afanasieva, Ukrainian Institute of International Politics, taking part at the meeting, and video presentations of PA 7 coordinator Tomaš Tabiš, the report on cooperation established through Synchronized Call by Jan Kirchhoff, managing director of medicalvalues GmbH, and outlooks concerning to new PA 8 flagship projects. Also the Working Group Coordinators informed about their activities.
