7th Steering Group Meeting in Chisinau/Moldova

Mobilization of Moldavian stakeholders within the Priority Area 8 “Competitiveness and Cluster” in the framework of the  EUSDR

The 7th Steering Group Meeting of the Priority Area 8 “Competitiveness and Cluster Development” of the EUSDR was held on 8th/9th April 2014 in Chisinau/Moldova.

The meeting brought together representatives from different ministries, business organizations and academic institutions from 9 EUSDR-countries: Austria, Baden-Württemberg, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Furthermore the Steering Group meeting was accompanied by representatives from the EU Commission and EU Delegation from Moldova.

The participants analyzed the current situation of implementation of the EUSDR especially in consideration of the Danube country Moldova and dicussed new opportunities for cooperation in order to increase competitiveness, encouraging new initiatives and expanding communication platforms in that region. The Moldavian stakeholders have shown great interest in strengthening transnational cooperation and developing projects with stakeholders from the Danube Region.
