In times when global value chains are disrupted by different crises, resilient solutions are required to create stability – also in the Danube Region. In order to strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in this area, new value chains need to be established. Cooperation needs to be fostered.
The aim of the flagship project Danube Alliance “New Resilience – Strengthening the Competitiveness of SMEs in the Danube Region” of Priority Area 8 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) dealt with was to increase the resilience of existing and new transnational supply chains in the Danube region by promoting cooperation and transregional knowledge transfer. The project started in the beginning of 2021 and was successfully completed by the end of 2022.
The final report of the project you can find here:

Recent crises have shown that the topic is more relevant than ever. Therefore it is planned to continue the work in a further project “Danube Alliance Network”.
