In the frame of the Global Connect Event – Forum for Export and Internationalisation, the Eastern European Forum “Rethinking Europe: Eastern Europe as a close partner in times of the Zeitenwende” took place in Stuttgart at 15 November 2022. EUSDR PA 8 Steering Group Members attended the event. Dr. Gerd Meier zu Köcker, Head of the RegioClusterAgency for Innovation and Transformation in Baden-Württemberg, and one of the Coordinators of WG Clusters and Regional Development, was one of the panelists in the discussion “Supply chains and value chains – How can Eastern, South Eastern Europe and Baden-Württemberg benefit from each other?” Dmytro Shevchenko, Consul at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Munich, held a gripping speech concerning the challenges of a new beginning after the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.
The event continued the engagement started at 1 July 2022 in Ulm with the event “The Danube at the Turn of the Times -Economic policy impulses from the EU-Strategy for the Danube Region”. A further event for summer 2023 is already in preparation.
