The aim of the event, organised in the framework of the Danube Region Strategy, is to discuss the state of play of cooperation among economic, political and civil society stakeholders in the Danube Region against the backdrop of the ongoing transformation with regard to the war in Ukraine, value chains, climate change, energy price development and the shortage of skilled workers. The objective of the event is to discuss new opportunities and solution options that arise from the transnational cooperation in the region, while also addressing the current situation in Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
State Secretary Florian Hassler and State Secretary Dr. Patrick Rapp will host the event. State Secretaries from Croatia and Slovenia and the Head of the European Department in the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action will take part in the panel discussion. The keynote will be held by Dr. Klaus Friesenbichler from the Supply Chain Intelligence Institute Austria (ASCII). Three expert forums will take place on the topics “The Green Deal – as a financing and business opportunity”, “Capacity building in the framework of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region” with a focus on Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova and a “Foreign Trade Forum”.
